A Consortium of those Investing in Ukraine
On July 13th Altru Institute hosts an afternoon session to continue the Altru Ukraine Project. A consortium of organizations interested in coordinated investment in Ukraine is meeting regularly to learn about promising opportunities in Ukraine. This is the second in a series of monthly meetings to foster collaboration.
Charter members of this consortium and meeting series include the Ukraine Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), Altru Impact Investment Network and Ukraine Business News (UBN).
The format is compressed presentations and pitches by organizations and investment projects, followed by networking reception. Venue is midtown Manhattan, at the international law firm Orrick, 51 West 52nd Street. 4:30 pm Presentations. 5:30 Reception and Networking. Presentations and speakers to include:
- The Ukraine New Venture Investment Platform. Developed by the UVCA to provide a mechanism for promising start-ups to access capital. UVCA Chairman Andrey Kolodyuk.
- Ukraine Investment Monitor. A Research and Publishing company focused on who’s investing what where and why in Ukraine, both public funds and private. Editorial Director Stanislav Kucher.
- Ukraine Business News. UBN has established itself as the leading source of business news in the country, reporting to date despite disruptions. UBN CEO and founder Andrew Pryma.
- Grand Founders. An economic development and national security foundation working to build an economically resilient Ukraine as a part of our global impact. Sergey Kraytman, Vice Chairman.
- Samizdat Online. This media and technology platform enables Russian citizens to share information without VPNs, thereby reducing state censorship. Yevgeny Simkin, Founder and CEO.
